Glow - Unique Story
This assignment required us to make a unique story that included 10 vocabulary words that were related to what we were learning at the time, specifically trade routes. I decided to make my story based off the Silk Road, and to try and show a POV of how treacherous the journey is. Although I believe that the story is passable, one issue I had with it was that the ending was very rushed. However, that was simply due to me not having to have time to make a proper satisfying conclusion, instead just killing off the protagonist in the end. Despite this, I still believe that this assignment was fun to do, since I don't mind writing narratives for the most part and it was not too hard to do.
Glow - Isreal v. Palestine Current Event
This assignment was a current event assignment about the Israel and Palestine conflict. This was mostly just a regular current event, but it counted as a quiz. Although I did not do bad on this assignment, it wasn't anything special and I mostly just got it over with without much thought.

Glow - Vocab Posters
For this assignment, we had to create a poster from at least 2 vocabulary terms about what we were learning about. For this posters, I choose the two terms "European Notions of Divine Right" and "European Palaces". A summary of the European Notions of Divine Right would be that the king is almighty and anyone who opposes him is punished. I demonstrated this in the poster by showing a peasant being guided to be executed by a knight and executioner, meanwhile the king stares down at them on top of his palace. The main glaring issue with this poster however is that it wasn't colored at all, with me using hatch lines for shading as a compromise. Other than that however, I'm still really happy with how it turned out.
Grow - Trade Goods Project
The main goal of this assignment was to research about 5 different goods that were traded during ancient times. This assignment was made to help teach us to research more effectively, and to use things such as keywords and time periods. However, this assignment was a bit of a harder one for me to do, due to it being it being hard to find reliable sources in a short amount of time, and me constantly having to change what i searched up to find something that I actually needed. Even after all of that, some of the websites I used didn't give exact answers to some of the problems, leaving me to have to think of something to put in to answer it. Overall, something I would do to improve later in the future would be to search for sources more efficiently and to try and read them more carefully. Doing these two things would have allowed me to finish the assignment quicker.

Glow - Philosophers
This assignment was a web quest assignment, which is an assignment that requires us to do research on the internet and find sources., hence why its called a "web quest". This specific web quest was about philosophers, with us having to research 4 different ones. I ended up researching Voltaire, Mary Wollstonecraft, Ayn Rand, and Immanuel Kant. Overall, although this assignment was occasionally challenging, it really wasn't that bad. The worst part of this assignment was probably finding the sources, but other than that it went very smoothly. There's also the fact that I got a 90% on this, which is also a boost. These reasons are why i'd consider this assignment a glow.
Grow - Child Labor Essay
This assginment is the one assignment in the school year that I am the most diaspointed in, since it was extremely avoidable. The basic premise of this assignment was to simply just right your stance on child labor, and if you think its a good or bad practice. This assignment sounds simple, and it is, its simply just that I was too lazy to finish it. During the time this assignment was made, my teacher was out due to injury, so I basically did no work in his class. I did a bit of assignments that were posted, but procrastinated heavily. This was a massive mistake. When the time came where he came back, this was one of the assignment they were going to grade, and I wasnt able to finish it in time, I ended up only writing the intro and one body paragraph, and ended up getting a missing grade basically. This is the assignment im most ashamed off, since it was extremely avoidable, it was just down to pure laziness that ruined it.

Glow - Political Cartoon
This assignment made us create a political poster about the cold war. There were two main options, one included taking one of the many examples of cold war cartoons, or making your own. I opted towards making my own since I thought it would be more interesting. As I was brainstorming, I thought of the idea of The US and Soviet Union playing a chess match, since in a chess match, it is very slow and it sometimes feels like barely anything happens in them. I decided to take this and turn it into a cartoon, where they were having a professional chess match, meanwhile other countries were looking in the background, wanting it to end jsut like in real life Overall, im pretty happy with how this assignment turned out. The main thing I would've wanted to change would be to add color, but most political cartoons in the 1950's were still black and white anyway, so it wouldn't have been that serious. Other than that minor nitpick, this assignment is definitely a glow, and I hope to do more like this in the future.
Another Glow - Cold War Narrative
We were assigned to create a narrative using vocabulary that we learned from our cold war unit. This assignment was extremely similar to the unique story from marking period one, that one also using vocabulary words. The main difference is that it was about traders on trade routes, while this one was on the Cold War. I decided to make the story focused on someone working at or for the government, and his opinions on the war. After looking through the vocabulary words, I somewhat regretted choosing this as the concept since it was hard to intertwine most of the words into the narrative, but i tried to make it work since I was already to far in. Overall, the story could have been better, but it was that bad in all honesty.
