ART PATHWAYS overview

*In order to take Art showcase as an 8th grader, the student must take art 6/Intro to art7&8, and then Art 2 as pre-requisites.

Possible elective combinations: 

• 6th grade (Art 6 + other elective), 7th grade (Art 2 + *Mandatory HEALTH elective), 8th grade (Other elective+ Art showcase)

• 6th grade (Art 6 + other elective), 7th grade (new Media Art/ Animation + *Mandatory HEALTH elective), 8th grade (Art 2+ Art showcase)

• 6th grade (other elective), 7th Grade (Intro to Art 7&8 +*Mandatory HEALTH elective), 8th grade (Art 2+ Art showcase)

• New Media Art is a stand alone class, although the experience is enriched by the student taking 

• Art 6 or intro to art 7&8 

• Animation is a stand alone class, although the experience is enriched by the student taking 

• Art 6 or intro to art 7&8
