Data and Privacy

Current Status:

• CIPA required content filtering in place

• Use of GoGuardian on student Chromebooks so staff can monitor student activity while using their Chromebooks

• PaperCut is utilized across the district to ensure that confidential material is not compromised when being printed

• Elementary library media specialist provides digital citizenship and internet safety lessons for students in K-5

Possible Areas of Growth:

• Cyber security education for students, particularly at the middle and high school levels

• Provide more teacher trainging on digital citizenship, internet safety, and cyber security so it can be modeled for students
