Budget and Resources

Current Status:

• Common School Funds used strategically to purchase a variety of materials that support the curriculum at each building

• Common School Funds used to purchase a variety of reading materials for each library

•  Use Titlewave Collection Analysis data, found in Destiny administrative access, to support weeding and purchasing of materials for the library

• Common School Fund use for technology when permitted and the need arises 

• Purchase and offer a variety of materials for staff and student usage, including but not limited to books, e-books, periodicals, databases, electronic resources, etc.

• Advocate for the integrity of usage of Common School Funds with legislators and administration when necessary

• Promote book fairs in the elementary and middle school levels

• Host and/or sponsor an author visit

Possible Areas of Growth:

• Survey staff and incorporate input on purchasing decisions for the library

• Survey staff and incorporate input on weeding items from the library

• Continue to stay abreast of the rules and regulations surrounding the usage of Common School Funds

• Continue to encourage administration to include library staff in technology decisions and implementation
