GCSE Mathematics will enable students to:
develop fluent knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematical methods and concepts
acquire, select and apply mathematical techniques to solve problems
reason mathematically, make deductions and inferences, and draw conclusions
comprehend, interpret and communicate mathematical information in a variety of forms appropriate to the information and context.

Each paper will cover all Assessment Objectives and content will be assessed across all three examinations.
GCSE Mathematics is a core subject for all students at Key Stage 4. GCSE Mathematics involves the study of mathematical methods, with some practical applications. It aims to develop students’ skills in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Maths is something we use every day – often without even realising it. When you work out how much something would cost with the discount voucher you have, add up how much your weekly shop comes to, or figure out how much paint you need to decorate your living room. It’s all maths.
GCSE Mathematics aims to provide all students with a firm mathematical foundation that they will need for life, work and further study.
