OPS Board of Trustee Elections 2025
My wife and I live in Onehunga with our three children, all of whom will be proud pupils of the school by 2027. Professionally, I serve as the Head of IT & Product Management at a nearby emergency medical and travel assistance company. I bring to the board nearly a decade of senior leadership experience, including the development of organisation level governance frameworks. I’m committed to fostering a culture of respect and support for our teaching staff, from the board level.
I believe that the arts, sports, and academic pursuits are powerful pillars that connect people from all walks of life. By working together as a community to offer a diverse range of opportunities, we can ensure every child finds something meaningful to engage in and is celebrated for their work. The energy I bring to the Board reflects both my deep respect for educators and my professional background in science, technology, and business.
Outside of work, I’m actively involved in local sport as a cricket coach, backup football coach, and enthusiastic member of the Royal Oak Racquets Club. I love our school and its vibrant community, and I’m proud to support its continued growth under Mrs Holley’s excellent leadership.
I am delighted to be an elected board member for OPS. I am the proud mother of 3 current and former OPS students. Our family relocated to Onehunga after 16 years in London and we love being part of this multicultural and supportive community that we now call home. I am passionate about education and opportunities for all of our children. I firmly believe that 'If you can't see it, you can't be it'.
I have worked across secondary, primary, private and state education in both New Zealand and England for the last 25 years. I currently lead English and structured literacy in the Junior School at Diocesan School for Girls. I hope my background will help support the well rounded education provided by OPS.
Through my experience as a governor of a school in London, I learnt first-hand how valuable a strong leadership team is within a school community. It is integral to both support and make change for our young people. We are lucky to have strong leadership within OPS and I look forward to supporting the team in a governance role.
When I get a rare spare moment, I coach sport within our school community, taxi my children to endless activities and enjoy biking, camping and boating adventures with my family and friends,
