Check out our 2025 Fun Run details
Maunga, Whenua, Moana Fun Run Challenges. Leading up to the event, students complete 40 challenges (linked to Maunga and to Whenua). On the big day - Friday, 5th December, they face the final challenge: a Moana obstacle course - Splash & Dash (water obstacles)
When: Friday 5th December, 2025
Purpose: We’ve seen amazing progress in our kids’ reading and writing thanks to specialised support for our teachers. Teagan from Learning Matters works alongside our staff, showing, coaching, and guiding them in Structured Literacy.
To keep this going, we need your help. Every dollar raised will go towards continuing this programme so our teachers get the best support and our tamariki get the best chance to succeed.
SPONSORSHIP
We are seeking sponsorship for prizes to support our upcoming OPS fundraiser. In the past, our school community has been very generous, and we remain grateful for your support. Your contribution helps us create fun, memorable events for our students while raising funds that benefit the whole school.
Sponsor some of our Water Obstacles for the Splash & Dash and prizes
Water Foam Pull out - $100 to purchase 40 of these
Foam Machine - $1500 to hire for the event (we are looking for any contribution towards hiring this)
Class Prizes - $300 to go towards Pizzas and Ice Blocks
If you are able to sponsor any of these or make a contribution, please contact the school office:

Thank you for your ongoing support of our school.
Each time a student completes 5 challenges, they earn a token.
Students who reach milestones will get a prize:
20 challenges = your name will go into a draw to dunk a staff with water
40 challenges = OPS wristband - you can wear this for the rest of the term
Tokens are collected by teams (each student drops their tokens into their team’s container in the office). At the end, the team with the highest total tokens (by percentage) wins:
Ice blocks and pizzas
When the whole school hits collective token milestones (the whole school earns rewards:
1000 tokens ( e.g. 200 students completing 5 challenges each) = Watch some Staff do 3 of the challenges one lunch time
2000 tokens ( e.g. 400 students completing 5 challenges each) = Wear your own hat/cap for a week
3000 tokens = Extra play time
The ‘givealittle’ pages will be active soon
How do I Sponsor a child / donate?
You can sponsor students by donating to complete 40 challenges over the term. Follow the donation instructions using the ‘Givealittle Page.’ Cash can be given using the sponsorship form. However, we would much prefer you use the Givealittle pages that have been set up. This way, no cash needs to be exchanged, and we can track which class and students are involved, getting lots of sponsors and raising the most money.
