Hello, my name is Josephine Theut, and this is my first year teaching at Our Lady of Victory. I recently graduated from Alma College. I earned a bachelor's degree with a major in Elementary Education and two minors in Language Arts and Mathematics. I am so excited to start my first year of teaching here at OLV.
I grew up in Macomb, MI, and attended a Catholic school with my three younger siblings. Growing up, I participated in many extracurricular activities such as soccer, basketball, dance, golf, Girl Scouts, and National Honor Society. High school was when I fell in love with teaching. Since then, I have prepared myself to be the best possible teacher I can be.
In my free time, you can usually find me curled up with any book reading or cross-stitching. I also like going on nature/trail walks and biking. I love to travel, too! In any of these instances, I am surrounded by family and friends.
I love reading and writing. My goal is to impart this love of literature to my students. I love to delve into the world of a book and explore all of the hidden devices that an author has used to create the novel. Books are windows and doors into a different world than we know. It expands our horizons.
I look forward to getting to know you!
