Ms. Nash

     My name is Kristen Nash, and this is my second year teaching at Our Lady of Victory. I have been teaching for the Archdiocese of Detroit for 23 years, and I am excited to begin my 24th year exploring English and literature with my OLV students. At EMU, I earned a bachelors degree with a major in English & American Literature & Language and a minor in Communications & Theater Arts. Now that both of my children are in college, I plan to pursue a masters degree. 

     I grew up in many ice arenas -- I figure skated for 15 years and coached/choregraphed as a professional for 15 more years before hanging up my skates permanently to have a family. My college-aged children, Dean and Leah, fill my heart with joy! Dean is a senior and Leah is a sophomore. Together with my mom, we have traveled throughout the United States, visiting fun and historical locations. This year, I plan to visit my kids often while they pursue their career goals at SVSU.

     You can find me often hiking on the nature trails with a camera in my hand. I enjoy photography and being out in nature. Whenever the weather insists on keeping me indoors, I enjoy watching movies and playing card or board games with family and friends. Every day, you can catch me reading and writing -- these are my creative escapes.
