To be honest, I was a little skeptical in the beginning whether things would stay the same or not because of the rumors that I heard that Grade 10 TLE is harder than before. As I approach this new school year, I am already looking forward to accounting as I had a great time when I was in Grade 9. I was so excited to learn more about financial principles and to balance financial statements. For me, accounting is both a challenge and a reward at the same time. As I analyze the given business transactions, I would have mixed feelings about its complexity, however as I see the balanced total afterwards, all of the frustrations turns into relief. Despite the challenges, there are several achievements that I am proud of. The guidance from my TLE teacher, Ma’am De Asis helped me to understand the concepts easily and clearly. To be honest, I was a bit intimidated with her from the start, but she proved me wrong. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Ma’am De Asis for always making the discussions light as possible despite the complicated topics. Ma’am De Asis’ sense of humor and way of teaching would always make me smile from the start of our discussion to the very end. With that, I am looking forward to more laughter with my whole section along with Ma’am De Asis to the rest of this Grade 10.

My whole perspective on accounting underwent a dramatic transformation this second quarter. While I used to effortlessly ace all my practical tests and exams, this quarter presented a complete opposite. Encountering new topics was overwhelming and required a significant amount of studying and memorization, making the concept of merchandising particularly challenging to grasp. However, through determination and hard work, I eventually came to understand these new concepts.
Seeing my scores decrease initially served as a wake-up call and motivated me to strive harder and improve. This extra effort paid off, as I found the quarterly examinations more manageable compared to the mid-quarter assessments. Despite the challenges, I am incredibly grateful to Ma’am De Asis for her unwavering support. Her humorous pick-up lines never failed to bring a smile to my face during class, and her being considerate and understanding about our own schedules was deeply appreciated. She is not just a teacher but also acts like a second mom to her students, a trait I admire greatly.
Now, as I bid farewell to accounting, I am excited to welcome baking once again! I hope the next quarter brings more fruitful and colorful experiences.

Because of the wonderful influence of my mother, baking has always held a special place in my heart. Every since I was young, I would be captivated by the sight of my mom creating delicious baked goodies in the kitchen. My curiosity would always get the better of me, asking countless questions and the eagerness to lend a helping hand. These early experiences have made baking for Grade 10 so much easier, as I’m already well-familiar with most of the ingredients, methods, and recipes.
Despite the familiarity, I still had so much to learn and I eagerly absorbed new tips and techniques that I’m confident will be invaluable in the near future. I am genuinely excited in creating delightful baked treats for my loved ones.
Our practical tests stand out as one of the most memorable projects of this quarter. The bond forged with my fellow groupmates will always hold a special place in my heart. The laughter, the “chikahan”, and the shared struggles have created lasting memories that I’ll cherish forever.
And, of course, how can I forget to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Ma’am De Asis once again. Her insightful tips and cheerful demeanor made our discussions both educational and enjoyable. Her guidance will undoubtedly stay with me, enhancing my baking knowledge.

As the daughter of two passionate entrepreneurs, this quarter has captured my attention like never before. The lessons I've gained are sure to help my parents further strengthen their businesses. Should my future self decide to step into their shoes and continue what they have started, this knowledge will undoubtedly serve as a solid foundation. Delving into this subject for the first time was both intriguing and a bit overwhelming. While it has sparked my interest and inspired me, I recognize the need to deepen my understanding of certain terminologies to make the most out of this learning experience.
Working on a business plan with my best friends felt like turning a long-held dream into reality. We've often spent countless hours daydreaming about building our own businesses one day, and this project made those dreams come to life in the most magical way. The challenge of deciding which business idea to pursue only added to the excitement and solidified the strength of our friendship. This experience not only brought us closer together but also made our shared aspirations feel tangible and within reach.
Looking back on these four quarters, one constant has been the remarkable Ma’am De Asis. She remains the same lively, witty teacher who values discipline, and has guided us with unwavering dedication. Her unique blend of humor and heartfelt life lessons has left an indelible mark on me. Her cheerful and lighthearted teaching style will forever bring a smile to my heart, while her invaluable wisdom and life lessons will continue to resonate with me as I move forward. Without a doubt, Ma’am De Asis is truly one of a kind, and I will always be grateful for her guidance throughout this school year.
