STOP MOTION - PETA
I am very proud of my group's work (Group #2) and I think that we did very well. Our stop-motion animation is all about Bathala. Feel free to watch it if you want!
MID QUARTER EXAM (MQE)
My score in the MQE for MAPEH is 46/50. I am happy for getting this score for I studied hard for it. I hope that in the QE I can get a higher score though. Also, answering the last part was fun because I got to draw! We also had to compose a song.
1ST QUARTER REFLECTION IN MAPEH
Our MAPEH lessons and activities were so much fun and enjoyable for these were not only entertaining, but they were also informative. Our teacher, Mr. Zamora, taught us these lessons: Music, Theater Arts, Dance Styles and Visual Arts of South East Asia, Mental Health, Physical Activities, and Arnis.
Our mental health matters, no matter how low or high you are in life. We have to safeguard our mental health to ensure a good and happy life. Physical activities also help in safeguarding mental health, for it enhances our mood and help us improve our skills. The different arts of Southeast Asia are important for entertainment and cultural heritage preservation. These give us an idea of what our countries in Southeast Asia do and promote their tradition/culture through different kinds of arts. Lastly, Arnis is an important subject of the Philippine culture for it is the National Sport/Martial Arts of our country. This gives us a hint that we should maintain it and take good care of it by utilizing it in life and participating in it.
My score for this activity is 7/10. A few mistakes, but I'm still proud of myself for not failing.
For this quiz, I got 19/20. I think I did a good job, even though I got one mistake.
SOAP CARVING ACTIVITY
This activity is all about soap carving. For my score, I got 96/100. The design I made was a Phillipines star parol, since the theme for our design was all about the Philippines. I would say I did a pretty good job in this activity.
2ND QUARTER REFLECTION IN MAPEH
For this quarter's MAPEH lessons, we learned a variation of Literature, Art Forms, Music, Dance, Festivals, and Theater Play in Southeast Asia, and Invasion Games; specifically Basketball. We also learned about Making Informed Decisions as Adolescents Mr. Zamora taught us these significant lessons, and their significance. We gained more knowledge about them, for we dived deeper into its concepts.
Firstly, invasion games are games where you invade the opponents territory to gain a point/goal. In particular, we have basketball; a very popular invasion game all around the world. We learned about the skills we need to master in basketball, and its history/background. Now, we have Folk Music, Traditional Art, Dance Styles, Festivals, and Textile Art of Southeast Asia. These lessons reflect on the culture of different countries in Southeast Asia, promoting a sense of acceptance, prior knowledge, and support. We should respect each other's cultures so that we can be equal with one another. Finally, informed decisions are choices made by adolescents by reflecting their behavior and taking risks. As adolescents, we should know how to make informed decisions so that our choices lead to success and proper behavior.
REVIEW QUIZ
For our review quiz, I got 15/20. I was surprised by the amount of mistakes, but knowing this, I'll study harder to get a higher score.
ACTIVITY - NATIONALISM
ACTIVITY
We were tasked to create 15 questions and let our seatmate answer it. It was difficult to do since we had to rush, but my seatmate still passed.
3RD QUARTER REFLECTION IN MAPEH
This quarter was full of topics involving Healthy Eating, Nationalistic Songs in the Philippines, Health Concerns in Adolescents, Eating Disorders, Nationalistic Arts, and Kuratsa. Not only are the songs, paintings/drawings and such, and dances a form of activities, but they also express art in and out. Mr. Zamora helped us understand these lessons well.
Kuratsa is a folk dance in the Philippines. It is believed to be originally from Samar Leyte, but it is not yet confirmed. What we know is that it is a Waray dance. For our PETA, we will apply the full dance in our Intersection Competition. Healthy Eating is important so that we can maintain our body structure and weight. Eating too much may lead to obesity and health problems, and eating too less can lead to malnutrition and weakness. The National Anthem of the Philippines was composed by Julian Felipe, and its lyrics were written by Jose Palma. RA 8941 explains the rules about respecting and displaying the Philippine Flag and Anthem. The Health Concerns are Marasmus, Kwashiorkor, Marasmic Kwashiorkor, Chronic Malnutrition, Teenage Obesity, and Micronutrient Malnutrition. We have to spread awareness and take care of ourselves in order to prevent these concerns. Eating Disorders such as Binge ED, Anorexia Nervosa, and Bulimia Nervosa are big problems, especially in adolescents. But, no matter what body we have, we should love ourself and be contented.
QUIZ
This is my quiz, and I got a score of 18/20. Not bad, but I will strive to achieve a perfect score.
QUIZ (2)
This is my quiz, and I got a score of 18/20. Not bad, but I will strive to achieve a perfect score.
CARILLO Shadow Puppet
Our Carillo production was a success! There were no conflicts when we were performing, however we faced challenges like shortened time management and cramming. However, I'm still proud of our group nonetheless.
Puppet Making ACTIVITY
Making it was challenging, but I asked for help from my classmates on how to do it.
FINAL REFLECTION IN MAPEH
Now that we have come this far, this subject has taught me how to express my thoughts through fine arts, being in good shape, and keeping an eye out on my health. Mr. Zamora, our MAPEH teacher, taught us many important things about Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health.
In this journey, I have also learned how to improve academically and personally. Not only did we just learn, but we also made dozens of memories throughout the school year, from our first to last meeting. In all honesty, I am very proud to say that there were hardly any challenges that I have come across. Surprisingly, there were more opportunities rather than conflicts, including the Kuratsa Dance Competition and our Shadow Puppetry Performance. In the competition, I was very proud of myself and of course, my classmates, since our section won 2nd runner-up.
In a nutshell, this year’s MAPEH was very interesting and exciting because of the learnings and memories we made. These taught me how to become a better version of myself and to take care of my overall well-being. Thank you very much, Mr. Zamora, for everything you have provided for us.
