Send the instructor an email at kdepew@odu.edu in which you request at least three times that you can meet with the instructor. For this conference you will be using the video meeting function of WebEx. The instructor will do his best to accommodate your requests; however, selecting less than three times will not guarantee that you get the time you request. If you cannot make any of these times, please contact the instructor. And if you have no preference, let the instructor know; your flexibility is appreciated.
To attend the conference, you will need access to a web cam on a computer or device (i.e., smartphone or tablet) with a built-in camera; if you use a device, be certain to download the WebEx app prior to the scheduled meeting. After the instructor has created a schedule of conferences based upon the students' request, the instructor will set up WebEx meetings with each of the students. Each student just prior to the conference will receive an invitation to her/his meeting as an email. At the scheduled time, the student will click on the link in the email to connect with the instructor for a video conference chat. If you are using a computer, WebEx may ask you to download a plug-in. Once you enter the meeting make sure that you connect both your video camera and audio capabilities to facilitate the discussion. The purpose of the conference is for you and the instructor to discuss your draft of Assignment #2. Please make sure that you have submitted your draft to the Google Classroom prior to your conference. The instructor will read your draft and provide advice for revisions; please be prepared to take notes on this discussion.
