Joey served as a Small Groups Pastor and Executive Pastor at Livingwater Church in Berkeley and Alameda (2006-2012). He was the Associate Academic Dean at the School of Urban Missions Bible College and Theological Seminary. He earned a Master of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary (2006-2011) and a PhD in Theological Studies at Regent University (2014-2021). He has been integrating his passion for Christian theology at First Covenant Church of Oakland since 2021.

Jamesine Rogers Gibson is a policy expert and planner who has worked for 25 years to ensure that people have access to clean air, clean energy, and other solutions that slow climate change and prepare people for its impacts, while improving public health and quality of life. She is currently a Senior Advanced Projects Advisor – Climate for Bay Area Air District. Her experience includes positions at all levels of government (U.S. Congress, federal, state, regional and local), two non-profits, and a foundation. She previously served on the Board of the Evangelical Environmental Network. She has authored or co-authored 8 reports and 4 articles on climate change, air pollution, and health published in peer-reviewed journals and was a contributing author to an Oxford University Press textbook. She has an MPH in Environmental Health Sciences from UC-Berkeley, and a BA in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University.
