1. What should we hope for? What are genuinely good circumstances? How much is enough when it comes to these circumstances?

2. Where should we set the horizon of our hopes? In other words, how universal do good circumstances need to be in order to be fully good?

3. If you're committed to a wide horizon, where are you depending on others lacking good circumstances in order to supply yours? How might your vision of what we should hope for change to accommodate your wide horizon?

4. If you think it’s acceptable or even important that some people wind up losing out on flourishing circumstances while others accumulate large amounts of them, what reasons can you give to support your view?
