This week Year 5 have started swimming lessons and Year 6 had a visit from the Mental Health Support Team to help them understand the transition from primary school to secondary school. Year R released their butterflies after studying the life cycle and today Year 1 are at Marwell – what a beautiful day for it!
Afterschool clubs start next week.
Year 5/6 had a virtual road safety workshop this week. Year 1 spent a DT lesson exploring different fruits and sandwiches and Year 3 enjoyed ball chasing combinations in PE.
Today has been busy with Father’s Day Breakfast, stay and play sessions for our September starters and wearing yellow for Cystic Fibrosis Day. Thank you for any donations made to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust – we raised over £180!
We started the week with Year 1’s Victorian Day. Also this week Year R had a trip to Moors Valley, some Year 3 and 4 children took part in a cricket tournament and we welcomed our September starters for a Teddy Bear’s Picnic with our current Year Rs.
Today Year 5 and 6 have headed to the Isle of Wight on their residential. We hope they have a fabulous time!
Year 5 and 6 had a great time on the Isle of Wight last weekend. This week, Year 1 have been developing their art skills, Year 4 did a hieroglyphic hunt at OWL and Wednesday was class photo day – thank you for sending your children looking so smart!
Today the children have enjoyed Sports Day and our Summer Fair is now on. Thank you to everyone who attended this morning and to those that stayed to support the Fair.
This week Year 2 harvested potatoes at OWL, Year 5 taught each other about elements of every day life and culture in Ancient Greece and Photography Club got close to nature. We had some work experience students in from Hounsdown and the children have loved having them in school.
The children enjoyed their Transition Days on Thursday and Friday, with our new Year Rs attending their final stay and play. Hopefully our Year 6s enjoyed their time in their senior schools.
What a fabulous visit to Rockbourne Roman Villa Year 3 had this week! Year 4 and 5 had a great time camping on the school field and Years 5 and 6 have been rehearsing hard for their production next week.
This afternoon is our GMAT Workshop at 2pm then Express Afternoon at 2.30pm.
Week 7
We’ve had a fabulous last week! Year 5 and 6 did a great job in their production ‘Pirates of the Curry Bean’ and Year 6 had their end of year trip to Paultons Park.
After lunchtime collection we invited everyone to stay for a picnic to say goodbye to Mrs Bundy.
