Name: Kili

Project idea: I want to use the mechanism to show a diligent cat god working hard to get its food. I got the inspiration when I was looking for an intern. I felt that if human needed to work so hard for living, then what about the case of the god? So I came up with the idea of creating a cat god and integrating the design of mechanism with the magnet to create this game-like project.

Reflection: I think the building process of Kili is hard, because it was hard to glued the wood pieces I got through laser cutting together. I tried various glues but none of them worked very well, so the inside of my mechanism was actually a bit looser than I thought. But in general, it worked pretty smooth. Also, due to the glue issue, the decoration of Kili also met some problems (the whiskers of Kili often dropped). I think combing the mechanism with a character who has its own story is really fun and interesting. If I have more time, I think I would reconsider the design of the outlook of the toy, since the strings (feel sad for Kili's tails🥲) sometimes mess up together and made it hard for the mechanism to work.
