Our toy: Spring Angry Dog
How it works: The toy has an outlook of an angry dog biting a bone, and when the player pulls the bone from its mouth (the bone is connected with the dog by a string), the dog would start to move and as if it is chasing after the bone. Before we unpacked the toy, we guessed the theory of it probably because there were gears inside the dog’s body and made the string move, but we did not exactly know how it worked inside at first.
The video records how to play with this toy.
After we took apart the toy (with the help of Professor Marcela~), we found there were four gears of different sizes inside the small box, and were arranged in the order from the biggest to the smallest, for the purpose of pulling the spring and making the dog move.
How we unpacked the toy.
We then reduced the toy to just the small box, since it was the key element that controlled the movement of the dog.
How the gears and spring work looking from the outside.
How professor Marcela helped us to unpack the small box.
After our unpacking and rebuilding (for nearly ten rounds since things always went wrong TT), and with the help with our professor again, we finally found out how it exactly worked and successfully regrouped all the elements back:)
