Hello Everyone,
When I first started my college application process I did not know much about the process because my parents were born in the Dominican Republic and I did not have any examples in my family to guide me. I struggled with my application and also struggled with my financial aid application but after applying and learning more about the process throughout college I've decided to create a small but resourceful E-Learning course for first gen latinos who are in the situation that I was once in.

Helping First Gen Latinos that have little to no knowledge about the college application process and how to retain financial aid, grants and scholarships.

Solution
In this learning module created in Rise learners are going to learn about the different degree options, opportunities to learn about different colleges from all around the united states, how to prepare for information sessions and learn about different ways to pay for college and also where to receive grants and scholarships.

LOVE THIS TOPIC!!!! I was totally thought about do the same project for international students, but there's way too many things to taking care of. I admire how detailed and how complete this project is! I myself is also a first generation college students, and of course the first one in my family studied aboard. I definitly wish I had resource like this cours to guide me during my early school years. Do you consider to put this out somewhere? Like ask local high schools to put this as default training for students?

I appreciated the personal connection you had with the need for this learning solution and how to reduce barriers to under-represented and marginalized groups. I would have liked more clarity and naming for the lessons and why you ordered them in that way, kind of like building up and scaffolding the learner into understanding the value of knowing these lessons. I liked the concept of the literal map with the hotspots to show different colleges and universities. However, since this particular learning solution is focused on Latinx people, it may be nice to also specifically point to how this population gets affected with the lack of resources or information/knowledge regarding the college application process.
