Each semester, CAT facilitates a number of programs for the NYU teaching community. These programs, covering a wide variety of teaching and learning issues, are presented by NYU faculty members and experts on teaching and learning from around the country. The programs are free and open to the NYU community.
The Media Lab, located on the 7th floor at 239 Greene Street, contains two Macs for special projects and use by faculty and PhD students. It is not intended for Master’s or undergraduate student use. If instructors require Media Lab assistance on a project, they can email a brief request to the Media Lab. (Instructors are reminded that classroom media requests and support is strictly handled by Campus Media.) Our Macs are equipped with Final Cut Express HD, Quicktime Pro + iMovie, iDVD, Illustrator and Photoshop. For more information about Media Lab Services, including borrowing equipment, contacting ITS for computer support, editing a faculty, connecting to a NYU wireless network, scanning documents, accessing server space for electronic files, and more, visit the link “Media Lab Overview” on our website.
NYU Stream provides the NYU community with a wealth of media tools that facilitate collaborative communications, content sharing, as well as a repository to store your audio, video, and images files. NYU Stream is a great way to share media via NYU Classes (faculty only), NYU Wikis, Web Publishing, Google Sites, as well as any other website that you have publishing rights.
