In March 2019, I attended a feeding course with a speech-language pathologist colleague. At the time, we both had several years' experience with providing feeding therapy within our respective disciplines. However, we still sought further knowledge and best practices in approaching feeding, eating and swallowing with the medically complex pediatric population. Prior to attending the course, we sat down together to compile a list of complex cases, overarching questions and common barriers we encountered. Though we both walked away from the course with the same certificate, we each were equipped with a unique though complementary skill set.
