PayPal, Venmo & eBay

Process Description / Outline

1. PayPal, Venmo & eBay are restricted from use

2. Used items on eBay are never allowed to be purchased, per NYU Insurance. Pre-approval from FAS Fiscal is required for new items

3. P-cards and NYU credit cards cannot be used for PayPal

4. PayPal can only be used if it is the only payment method available (for example for a conference). Screenshots should be taken for any reimbursement request to demonstrate the limitation. Additionally,  please ensure that along with the "invoice" showing the details of what was purchased, that there is a redacted bank or credit card statement that reflects that payment being issued.  Finally, please request an approval emal from Joseph Wright, Senior Director, Fiscal Affairs
