The New York University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic is a graduate-training facility within the Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders. Our clinic supports individuals across the lifespan with a range of communication needs. We provide screenings, evaluations, and intervention services in the areas of speech, language, hearing, voice, and stuttering in individual and group settings. The clinic offers bilingual services and maintains culturally and linguistically responsive practices. Clinical and research faculty deliver comprehensive clinical education and supervision to graduate student clinicians to prepare for state licensure and national certification in the field of speech language-pathology.
Our program is organized in a sequence of theoretical courses followed by five levels of clinical practicum. Our national governing body, The American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) requires that students accrue 400 hours of clinical practice under the supervision/mentorship from a licensed speech-language pathologist.
The NYU CSD Clinic serves the surrounding community members as well as established partnerships, specialty clinics, and community initiatives.

Clinical and research faculty deliver comprehensive clinical education and supervision to graduate student clinicians to prepare for state licensure and national certification in the field of speech language-pathology. All on-campus Practicums (I-III) include a weekly seminar course and clinical training. All students submit a contract before entering each on-campus Practicum I-III to verify understanding of the policies and expectations.

Rules of Ethics
A. Individuals shall use every resource, including referral and/or interprofessional collaboration when appropriate, to ensure that quality service is provided.
C. Individuals shall not discriminate in the delivery of professional services or in the conduct of research and scholarly activities on the basis of race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity/gender expression, sexual orientation, age, religion, national origin, disability, culture, language, or dialect.
J. Individuals shall accurately represent the intended purpose of a service, product, or research endeavor and shall abide by established guidelines for clinical practice and the responsible conduct of research.
O. Individuals shall protect the confidentiality and security of records of professional services provided, research and scholarly activities conducted, and products dispensed. Access to these records shall be allowed only when doing so is necessary to protect the welfare of the person or of the community, is legally authorized, or is otherwise required by law.
P. Individuals shall protect the confidentiality of any professional or personal information about persons served professionally or participants involved in research and scholarly activities and may disclose confidential information only when doing so is necessary to protect the welfare of the person or of the community, is legally authorized, or is otherwise required by law.
Rules of Ethics
A. Individuals shall work collaboratively, when appropriate, with members of ones own profession and/or members of other professions to deliver the highest quality of care.
