By the end of this unit, students will be able to:
Sight-read, improvise, and transcribe rhythms that include small subdivisions (32nd and 64th notes) and equal subdivisions into 5 or more (e.g. quintuplets, sextuplets, and septuplets).
Sight sing and improvise melodies that incorporate mode mixture, Neapolitan sixths, and augmented sixths over a given chord progression.
Transcribe chord progressions, melodies, and outer voices in examples from the repertoire that include the harmonies above.
