STRUCTURE OF LESSONS

For each session of the health cluster workshop, you are to

1. Complete the pre-workshop readings and discuss in your groups some of the insights you have gleaned
2. Come to the workshop prepared with your writing materials and ipad
3. Share your reflections on what you have learnt from the workshop with your friends on your IDS website, as well as complete any post-workshop readings.

By the end of the session, you should:

• Know what health is defined as
• Understand the role of statistics in health
• State what are the major diseases/ ailments plaguing Singaporeans
• State what our government is doing about it
• Question why we need to care for the young, old or those less fortunate

By the end of the session, you should:

• Experience various forms of therapy, specifically:
  • Music
  • Poetry
  • Art
  • Drama
  • Aroma
  • Nature
  • Diet
  • Apps
• Understand how different forms of therapy can have an impact on one's overall health
