Editing helps enhance photos in quality and makes them more appealing to viewers. This assignment helped me pick and choose things I didn't like about a photo and turn them into things I was drawn too. For example, the exposure on many of the photos below were too light for my liking, so with editing I got to darker them for a visual liking. Also, the color of several objects in the backgrounds were not as saturated as I would've like it; which was changed by using a simple tool, that let you add saturation, hue, and luminance. Therefore, this assignment was not extremely difficult to learn because it helped me find a good balance for each of the photos I had. Furthermore, I learned to use a majority of the tools that helped me enrich the photos to a greater quality.
This photo was the easiest to edit because I could specifically pick out the things I did not like about this picture. Firstly, the exposure was much lighter than I wanted and made everything seem blended together, which in result does not create the best focal point. However, when I was editing I toned down the lighting to make the picture have greater depth. The lighting helped drawn out the coyote status and the wall in the background. With that, I slid the saturation up a little more to enhance the colors and gather multiple elements for the photo.
The original photo was not insanely bad or unappealing to the eye, but editing gave more depth and contrast. After editing, the sky had a unique gradient for a viewer to capture and take interest in. Also, I brought up the shadows to enhance them for further contrast between the colors in the photo. Therefore, this photo has more potential than it originally did because of the editing done.
Before editing, the photo was immensely bland and boring for viewers. Although, there is a leading line from the railing going upwards as a sense of movement; there is no real color difference to draw in more attention. In result, I made the sky sufficiently more blue, which gave the railing more color since it has a reflection of the sky. In conclusion, the combination of editing and the original elements of this photo helps provide additional attention.
