Texture

Texture can be hard to shoot sometimes because it can end up coming across as pattern or shape, but luckily I was able to get nine pictures approved the first try so I didn't struggle to much. I learned that if you want to get a good shot of texture, you have to have a deeper depth of field so that the texture can be seen throughout the entire photo.

The focal point of this photo is the rough texture of the lines of wire, which contrasts with the smooth metal its bound in. The elements are very geometric and industrial, and there's a sense of movement throughout the wire because of how it spirals.

There's a composition of both man-made and organic elements in this photo. The bright red concrete with rough texture contrasts with the greenery of the bush at the top.

In this photo, the shadows created by the folds of the fabric create depth in the otherwise flat subject. The orange contrasts brightly with the black of the shadow, and the middle shadow that begins at the top acts as a sort of leading line down to the bottom.
