Covid has and still affects our society and how it works, from limitations to people in public spaces, mask mandates, how cities like ours run, and most of all how the school has changed as well. For most of the juniors and seniors now the shutdown occurred in the middle of their freshman and sophomore year of high school, and for freshmen and sophomores now it stopped in the middle of their 7th and 8th-grade year which didn’t give them the time to transition from middle school to high school. It’s because of this that the changes from online to person have changed. We interviewed freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors and asked them to compare online school vs in-person and their opinions on both.

The impact covid and the change from online to in-person have had on our VT students. For our freshmen and sophomores, it was a change that affected them and it was something completely new coming to high school. And for our juniors and seniors, they didn't fully experience what normal high school is like. Luckily we are back to in-person school with restrictions to keep our VT staff and students safe. The changes were all new for everyone but luckily we are able to come back and enjoy what’s rest of our high school years at VT!
