Raising Cane’s was founded on August 26, 1996, in Baton Rouge Louisiana by Todd Graves. Todd had this business idea for a long time and when he had shared his thought with his professor they didn’t like it and said it would never work. But Todd was so passionate about this business he would show his plan to bankers and they would tell him to “get a real job” and just give negative feedback. He would not go straight into making his business but once he returned to Baton Rouge, he constructed his first Raising Cane’s Building.

Canes is a fast food restaurant that has crinkle-cut fries, chicken fingers, texas toast bread, and their special cane’s sauce. The chicken fingers are nice and crispy from the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The sauce you would never guess has the most basic ingredients you can make at home and it is so good that most people order more than one because one meal isn’t enough for two. The toast is so delicious. It doesn’t have too much butter so the bread isn’t soggy and it is well toasted. Popeyes just doesn't compare to Cane's as their biscuits are dry and their lines are dead compared to Cane's. Chick-fil-a only has a a line for their chicken sandwich which is just average in taste. In addition, Chick-fil-a doesn't even open on Sundays because employees should have the day off for religious reasons to go to church but not every employee goes to church so they should be open. They are more expensive. Cane's definitely does not compare to Chick-fil-a or Popeyes.
