Provisions
An employee with delinquent university debt is ineligible for any personnel action that results in increased status or pay or any other financial benefit until the delinquent debt is paid in full. (MAPP 02.01.01)
Human Resources will not approve an applicant for employment until any existing delinquent debt is paid. (MAPP 05.03.01)
Employees with delinquent debt do not qualify for the Staff Tuition Scholarship program. (MAPP 02.06.02)
Employee Responsibility
University employees are required to satisfy their financial debt to the university in a timely fashion. Employee financial obligations include, but is not limited to payment for parking permits, parking citations, purchases from University auxillary operations, tuition/fees, housing, library fines, insufficient funds checks. Employees who do not clear debt in a timely fashion are subject to sanctions outlined in MAPP 05.03.01, which includes ineligibility for a university award, pay or status increase, or other financial benefit.
