Wednesday, March 4, 2026: Integrate for Good presents "Sexuality Education for People with Developmental Disabilities"

Dates: March 4, 11, 18, and 25 and April 1 and 8

Time: 7:00-8:30 PM

In collaboration with Elevatus Training, Integrate for Good is excited to welcome two Certified Elevatus Trainers, Dennis Cullen and Jacki Lyster to help co-lead this program. Elevatus is an evidence-informed and trauma-informed curriculum specifically designed to help people living with disabilities confidently navigate the topic of sexuality.

The participant-driven sessions give an opportunity to build understanding of different types of relationships, building friendships, communication in relationships, consent, decision-making, moving from friendship to partner, safety on the internet and social media, and what makes a relationship a healthy one.

Healthy Relationships is for individuals with disabilities who may struggle with understanding the nuances of relationships and boundaries. Many individuals with disabilities are often misunderstood or face challenges in distinguishing between friends and acquaintances, establishing healthy romantic relationships, setting boundaries with friends, or navigating relationships with paid staff and family dynamics. This program helps build the skills needed to foster positive and supportive relationships across all areas of life.

Presenters:

Dennis C. Cullen is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and trained Elevatus facilitator, he specializes in behavior management and supporting individuals with developmental and learning differences.

Jackie Lyster is retired from the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN) system, Jacki continues to support this work as a certified Elevatus Trainer.

The Upper Bucks Transition Fair, presented by Pennridge, Palisades, and Quakertown Community School Districts, will provide an opportunity for parents/guardians and students with disabilities to explore local community agencies that can help support planning for life after high school graduation.

Friday, March 13, 2026: Fridays with Friends: 6:00-7:00 PM

Location: Ambler YMCA

Audience: Special Needs Teens and Young Adults (age 15+)

Cost: $10 Members; $20 Nonmembers

Spend Friday evenings with your friends at the Y! This is an opportunity for our special needs community to socialize, meet new friends, and try new activities! We will have arts, crafts, swimming, snacks, and social time.

Saturday, March 14, 2026: Sensory Friendly Mornings at The Academy of Natural Sciences: 9:00-11:00 AM

Location: The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University | 1900 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia PA 19103

Dates: March 14, 2026 and April 12, 2026

Sensory-friendly mornings can be a comfortable, calmer way for museum visitors, especially those with sensory sensitivities, to explore the museum. These mornings will include:

Advanced ticketing to help avoid lines
Smaller crowds
More tranquil sounds in exhibitions whenever possible, with soundscapes and roaring dinosaurs softened or turned off
An available quiet and relaxing space
Time to explore our signature and special exhibits and wander through the dioramas at your own pace.
Noise cancelling headphones and fidget toys available for guests
Understanding, empathetic staff ready to help and share science with you!

Guests of all ages are welcome at this family-friendly event!

Preregistration is required to ensure a calm, positive experience for all guests. While guests will not be turned away if capacity allows, we strongly recommend reserving your ticket in advance due to the popularity of this program and to help all our families avoid lines.

Audience: Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, including Autism, and their Families

Your voice matters! Join us for lunch and a relaxed conversation about what it feels like to be part of your community- where you feel comfortable, where you don’t, and where you want to grow. Self-advocates, families, and allies are invited to share experiences, identify barriers, and explore solutions that support stronger community membership and leadership.

$40 travel stipend (one per household, restrictions apply)

Ideal vendors currently serve high school students with IEPs and 504 plans and those who have recently completed their time in high school. Vendors will offer post-secondary opportunities such as employment, internships, apprenticeships, transitional services, continuing education, or supported living programs.
