The following curriculum documents for math and English Language Arts have been created for grades K-8 so that parents can better understand the concepts that their children will be studying during the 2019-2020 school year.
The following curriculum documents for math and English Language Arts have been created for grades K-8 so that parents can better understand the concepts that their children will be studying during the 2019-2020 school year.
In addition, we will be working to implement a new science curriculum that focuses on allowing students to actually "do" science, rather than just read about it. As a result, students will be learning about scientific concepts through hands-on activities that are also designed to to help students develop the ability to think like scientists, such as by making observations and asking questions. This year we will also be spending some time updating the social studies curriculum. As always, the goal of Northwood School is to provide students with an engaging experience that will foster life-long learning.
