We will play with movement, dance, and theater games and activities like streamers, creative obstacle courses, Pokemon tag, drawing dances, and dancing drawings. We will explore moving slow and fast, high and low, like different colors, favorite characters, animals, or even through jello - all to our favorite music. No experience needed. You just need a body! Open to grades K-2.

In this LEAP session we explore the art and drama of collaborative drawing. Inspired by the classic drawing game "Exquisite Corpse" (a favorite pastime of Frida Kahlo!), students will play by taking turns drawing sections of a body on a sheet of paper, folded to hide each individual contribution. Over the course of the session, we'll evolve the rules of the game, try other popular collaborative drawing games, and discover the surprise and joy of the creative hive mind! Open to grades 2-5.

In Maker Space, students will get the chance to plan out and bring to life their own dream creations using random materials (plastic pouch caps, straws, left over packaging materials, old keys, etc.). We will also learn about inventors and artists who make things out of unique materials. We may also work on some collaborative sculptures using bigger materials like styrofoam and cardboard. Start collecting materials, and join us! Open to grades K-2. (Limit of 10 students)
