One misty morning in March of 2022, Scott Fitzmeyer, then 4th grade teacher at Leeds, responded to the call for Enrichment Club instructors, a school newspaper among the many club ideas. "I'd be interested in doing a newspaper club," he replied. The first Newspaper Club, established in the Spring 2022 session, was tasked with coming up with the title for the new school newspaper. They unearthed and revived the historic title, the Leeds Leopard, named after the Leeds school mascot. The first edition of the newly revived Leeds Leopard was published in June of 2022... and the rest is history! This student-led newspaper is full of politics, local news, reviews, jokes, and more.
And all the people want to know, who will take over as editors in chief when our founding members, then 3rd graders, graduate this year??!
