Early Bird / Late Bird

The Early Bird / Late Bird program offers extended day childcare to our Leeds Elementary School students. The program provides quality, affordable childcare services with enrichment opportunities and runs daily from 7:00am until 7:45am and from 2:10pm through 5:15pm. The program aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children feel heard and empowered to be themselves. Our staff engage students in meaningful interactions with peers, and model positive communication. We believe that ample physical and mental activity, creative outlets, as well as unstructured play time are key to building a positive after school community, and that enrichment opportunities and social emotional work support intellectual growth. We prioritize building relationships with individual students and caregivers, and we take a restorative approach to conflict resolution.

Enrichment Program

As part of our Late Bird program, we offer after school enrichment clubs for our Leeds Elementary School students. Clubs focus on Visual Arts, Crafts, Sports, Performing/ Movement/ Sound Arts, Computer Programming, Robotics, Engineering, Science, Languages, Movement/ Meditation/ Mindfulness, Cooperative Group Games, and Nature. Clubs generally hold between 8-12 students, or more for larger group activities and team sports. The program aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children feel heard and empowered to be themselves. We believe that enrichment opportunities and social emotional work are key to supporting intellectual growth. Through our Enrichment Clubs, we aim to engage students in new experiences, physical and creative outlets, building new relationships, practicing communication skills, and challenging themselves. We prioritize getting to know each individual student, and we take a restorative approach to conflict resolution.
