Terre Parker
We will play with movement, dance, theater games, songs, and visual arts on the theme of nature. We will explore moving like animals, bugs, trees, wind, and water. When weather permits, we’ll dance outside and explore creative movement hopscotch, found object sculpture, making dances with each other, and with nature. No experience needed. You just need a body! Open to students in 1st and 2nd grade.
Mondays, Grades 3-5

This club will have two parts. In the first, we will draw and make art, designs and structures with a theme of math, patterns, algorithms and geometry. In the second half, we will look at how some of the same techniques can be aided with computers, using our chromebooks. We will take inspiration from artists such as Jen Stark, Zach Lieberman, Andy Goldworthy and Zaha Hadid. It will be fun and mind-expanding. Open to students in 3rd-5th grades.

Storymakers will be a place for students to have fun writing, reading, and sharing stories. We will have opportunities to participate in a variety of creative games, projects, and activities (or just have some quiet time to read and write if you choose). Bring your silly and your spooky, your funny and your fantastic, and don't forget your sense of mystery and adventure! Open to students in 3rd-5th grades.

Come explore and experiment with our Dash Robots! Work together to solve coding challenges. Build obstacle courses for each other and code your robots to run through them. Open to students in 3rd-5th grade.

This club will give game enthusiasts time to dive deeper into some of our favorite board games. If there is interest, we will spend the last few weeks designing our own board games. Open to students in grades 3-5.

Come explore our ecosystem around the Leeds school surrounding area. We will make maps, go for walks nearby, ask questions, learn some plant identification, and explore and document our natural surroundings. Open to grades 1-5.

This club is just for our Kindergarteners (and their older siblings if they'd like to join as helpers). We will explore and experiment with different mark-making media and styles- pencils, oil pastels, watercolor, paints, mud!, and more. Let's have fun, make some marks, and get a little messy!

A Cartographer is someone who studies the land around them and makes maps. Come learn about mapmaking and practice making maps of real and pretend locations important to you. Open to students in 2nd-5th grades.

Join the fabulous Fiber Arts club, where you will learn techniques in knitting, crochet, and embroidery. Over the course of the 8 weeks, we will work on independent fiber arts projects while listening to some awesome podcasts and audio books! Open to grades 2-5.

Biking club is a chance to learn all about bikes and bike safety. On nice weather days we will go on bike rides together to nearby destinations, such as Look Park, and on inside days we'll learn about bike parts and bike maintenance. Open to students with basic biking skills in grades 3-5. *must have a bike and helmet - Contact us if you do not own a bike or helmet and need assistance getting one!

In this club, students will have the chance to make 2-3 fashion accessories, including a necklace, belt, scarf, scrunchie, and/or barrette! Open to students in 1st-5th grades.
