In Fiber Arts Club, students will be introduced to different techniques in fiber arts - sewing, knitting, embroidery, etc. Students will have ample free time to explore and experiment with different materials and work on their own projects. Open to students in 1st-5th grade.

Join our open Coding Club, where we will work on our own games and projects and help each other build more complex projects through block coding on Scratch. Open to students with some block coding experience in grades 3-5. Led by a 5th grade Scratch Coding connoisseur! (Limit of 10 students)

This club will introduce you to different group games and sports, from Kickball to Capture the Flag. Students will learn to play as a team and have fun. Open to students in grades 2-4.

Do you have stories to tell about what's happening here at Leeds, or want to help others share their stories? Join our newspaper club to create the second edition of our very own school newspaper! Stories, interviews, investigations... we'll do it all! Open to grades 3-5.
Mondays AND Wednesdays
This club will teach you the fundamentals of basketball from how to dribble, shoot, pass, and work as a team. Through group and partner activities, students will learn social skills through this fun sport. This club is for students with no basketball experience to lots of basketball experience. Open to 3rd-5th grades.

In this club, students will work with our brand new Lego Robotics kits and learn basic coding and circuitry through real-life challenges and scenarios. Open to students in grades 3-5. (Limit of 10 students)

Each day we will set up a new still life with fun everyday objects... and draw and paint it! Students will learn to look closely and add detail to their work, and have fun doing it. Open to students in all grades and levels of experience with drawing and painting.
Thursdays
Come explore our ecosystem around the Leeds school surrounding area. We will make maps, go for walks nearby, ask questions, learn some plant identification, and explore and document our natural surroundings. Open to students in 1st-5th grades.

In this club students will practice mindfulness techniques and create art that is meant to be mindful, creative, and relaxing in its process. We will focus on the process of creating for the purpose of creating, without the pressure of a "finished" product. Our days together will include art making and mindfulness practices and movement activities. Open to all grades.

We will build and assemble a massive construction using merely Popsicle sticks and a range of fastening methods (hot glue, string, tape, etc). The creation will be decorated with color and sparkles. At the end of the session, each kid will have the choice of bringing hunks of the creation home - OR - watching the one massive construction collapse in a glorious heap! The Popsicle Apocalypse will be filmed in slow motion. Open to students in 3rd-5th grades.

In this club, students come together to hone their creative writing skills and discover their writer's voice. Open to all aspiring authors - from poets to novelists to comic book authors. Join us and bring your ideas to life! Open to students in 2nd-5th grades. (Limit of 10 students)

Biking club is a chance to learn all about bikes and bike safety. On nice weather days we will go on short rides together to nearby destinations, such as Look Park, and on inside days we'll learn about bike parts and bike maintenance. Open to students with basic biking skills in grades 3-5. *must have a bike and helmet - Contact us if you do not own a bike or helmet and need assistance getting one! (Limit of 8 students)

Come explore and experiment with our Dash Robots! Build obstacle courses for each other and code your robots to run through them. Open to students in 5th grade. (Limit of 10 students)

Bags, and tank tops, and tie dye, oh my! In this club, you will learn basic hand sewing skills and design your own unique fashion. By the end of this club, you will have a new bag, a new tank top, and maybe even a braided belt if there's time. Beginner or experienced sewers are welcome! Open to 1st-5th grades.
