Research seeks to advance the existing body of knowledge in all disciplines. NONESCOST is committed to promoting a supportive research culture among faculty and students. To realize this, the R&D office has made it a mission to conduct quality community-based research for inclusive growth and quality-of-life enhancement with the goal of integrating research programs in collaboration with other institutions/agencies for the development of Negros and consequently the Philippines.
Fifty-nine percent (78 out of 133) of full-time faculty have completed various research and 27% (36 out of 133) faculty members have published their research in various research journals.
Currently, 46.61% of the faculty have ongoing research, 33.08% have completed research and have published their results in reputable journals or have acquired utility models for their innovations. Lastly, 61.65% of the full-time faculty have both ongoing and completed research.
In terms of its Annual Research Cost Expenditure, there is a 31% difference in the year 2020 from its expected annual research expenditure to its actual due to the pandemic, however, there is an increase of 13% in 2021 and 2022.
