Project Description:
In this project, students will create and design the user interface for a mobile app. The project will involve several key components:
a detailed project description
a flow chart illustrating the navigation of the app
designed images of each page of the app
a reflection on potential improvements for the app.
Project Components:
PART ONE: Project Description
Provide an overview of the app, including its purpose, target audience, and main features.
Explain why the app is useful or necessary.
Describe the overall design theme (colors, images, aesthetic) and user experience goals.
PART TWO: Flow Chart
Create a detailed flowchart that shows how users will navigate through the app (review the flowchart section if necessary)
Include all major screens and any sub-screens, as well as the connections between them (ie. The buttons you would click to lead to the next page).
Use symbols to represent different types of pages (e.g., home screen, settings, content pages. Ie. at the top right of this google site you will see several icons) .
PART THREE: Designed Images
Design a mockup of each page of the app. This can be done using digital tools such as DrawIo, Google draw, Canva, etc.
Ensure that each page is consistent with the overall design theme described in the project description.
Include all necessary UI elements such as buttons, menus, text fields, and images.
PART FOUR: Reflection
Write a reflection on the design process, discussing what worked well and what challenges were encountered (or you would expect to encounter if creating this on MIT App Inventor).
Suggest at least three ways the app could be improved based on feedback or personal insights.
Reflect on how the app design aligns with the initial goals and target audience.
