Design Project

Within your assigned groups you must create a 10-minute production aimed to solve a problem that could improve our school. This 10-minute production should include the following elements:

A minimum of two graphic designs
Two videos
Two self-produced audio tracks
At least one 3D animation

The components should be combined to create a 10-minute presentation of solutions for the problem you and your group have chosen.

You will follow the steps below to create this project

For this assignment, we will follow the Brilliant Labs Design Process:

At this point, we have just completed the DEFINE portion and are moving into the ideate

DEFINE

These are the four categories we have created. Students have a choice in which assessment they wish to work on:

Extracurricular Activities
School Improvements
School Safety/Student Comfort
Student Voice/Student Choice

You need to create a heading labeled "Define" on your website and under that section write which category you will be working on and who your group members will be.

IDEATE

Part One:

This is where as a group you narrow down the problems you want to focus on under your category. You can focus on one problem or multiple (remember you must have a solution for all problems you bring forward).

Be cautious of taking on too many topics as you want to create concrete solutions to each topic.

You need to create a heading labeled "Ideate" on your website and under that section write the multiple problems you and your group have discussed (ie. Better internet, School Security, Course variety, etc.)

Part Two:

Under the ideate section you will create a Design Brief with the following sections:

Problem: This is where you will decide which problem/problems you would like to focus on

Alternate Solutions: For each chosen problem, devise detailed alternate solutions leveraging audio, graphics, video, and animation.

Each group member should create their alternate solutions then as a group you will create a pros and cons list for each (at least two pros and cons for each)

*Solutions should be detailed.

*If you are working alone you should create at least two alternate solutions

Best Solution: This is where you choose your best solution to promote this company in each category. You should include scripts, video planning, and all other components necessary for creating your solutions (audio, graphics, video, and animation)

PROTOTYPE

This is where you create your final product. Under this section, you should upload working files of all graphics, audio, video, and animations you create as well as your final production.

Your final product can be a slideshow you screen record while presenting, it can be a stream you create using OBS or any other means you wish to use.

Test

This is where you run through the final product you have created and make sure you are happy with it.

When you are content with the final product you should create a conclusion under this section. Here you should reflect on what went well and what could be improved on going forward. If there is anything you changed or altered throughout this process this is a good place to discuss that.
