Progress reports will come home in your child’s yellow folder on Monday, November 11th .
Please review your child's progress report, then sign the small bright colored slip of paper attached.
Return the bright colored slip of paper to school on Tuesday, November 12th.
Please keep the progress report at home for your reference.
We are excited to begin sending home books inside of the pouch in the back of your child’s yellow folder next week.
Your child may be able to read some of them to you on their own, and others may require your support.
These books are sent home to practice fluency and other reading skills, so please enjoy them again and again.
Books will be swapped out periodically.
Make sure that books are placed in the pouch inside of your child’s yellow folder each night. These books are very precious to us as we are learning to read and students are responsible for their safe return. If a book is lost or damaged, there is a $5.00 replacement fee for each book. If you have lost or misplaced a book, please let your child’s teacher know.
(UFLI weekly homework will continue to come home as well).
A turkey will come home in your child's yellow folder on Friday, November 8th. We hope you have fun disguising your turkey together! Please remember to glue your disguised turkey to a piece of cardboard so that we can display your creations. Please return your child's completed turkey to school by Monday, November 18th.
Next week's forecast is showing temperatures in the forties!
As you can imagine, it takes quite a bit of time to ensure that each child is bundled up and ready to go outside.
It is very important that you have your child practice putting their jacket on, as well as practice taking their jacket off, all by themselves.
This includes taking out inside out sleeves, zipping, and buttoning all on their own.
Thank you for helping us keep your little ones safe and warm.
