What we are learning this week:

 Kindergarten Course Syllabus Link

Reading: We will gather information from nonfiction texts and identify details.

Phonics: We will focus on the letter f and i, and the sight word "a".

Writing: We will practice handwriting and respond to a book that we have read. We will practice drawing and writing letters for the sounds we hear. With a focus on adding labels to our drawings.

Math: We will focus on Module 3, picture graphs.

Science: We will explore apples with our senses! 

• Practice zipping and unzipping backpacks

• Practice taking white binder out of backpack

• Practice saying their teachers name

• Practice tying shoes

• Practice writing first and last name

• Practice reading and writing letters

• Practice letter sounds

• Practice reading and writing sight words

• Practice counting 1-20

• Read with your child and ask them to retell the story

Oct. 1st-Byron Nelson Homecoming Parade through Trophy Club-Community Event-6:15pm-All welcome to attend/view! Beck does have a float. Our 5th-grade Student/House Council rides on the float! 

Oct. 6th-10th Parent Conference Week- All Parents can Sign Up to Conference with their child if they want to; a sign-up will be sent out by your teacher soon.

Oct. 7th: Fall Picture Day (Yearbook picture- shoulders up) 

Oct. 10th-Early Release 11:45 a.m., Last day of the 1st 9 weeks! House Rally Day! Wear House colors! 

Oct. 13th-No School!

Oct. 16th-1st 9 weeks Report Cards will be sent home digitally(emailed).
