What we are learning this week:

Kindergarten Course Syllabus Link 

Phonics: We will learn our classmate's names and learn to play with names/letters 

Writing: We will practice handwriting and respond to a book that we have read. 

Reading:We will set up our reading routines. 

Science:We will learn what science is and what scientists do. 

Math:We will discuss the expectations and procedures for math workshop and problem solving block. 

• Practice zipping and unzipping backpacks

• Practice taking white binder out of backpack

• Practice saying their teachers name

• Practice tying shoes

• Practice writing first and last name

• Practice reading and writing letters

• Practice letter sounds

• Practice reading and writing sight words

• Practice counting 1-20

• Read with your child and ask them to retell the story
