What we are learning this week:

 Kindergarten Course Syllabus Link

Reading: We will gather review skills to grow as readers such as rereading, looking for sight words in books. 

Phonics: We will focus on the letter u, and g, and the sight word "to & do".

Writing: We will practice handwriting and respond to a book that we have read. We will start our new writing unit on writing narratives.

Math: We will continue Module 4 on comparing capacity.

Science: We will explore the object pumpkins with our senses. 

• Practice zipping and unzipping backpacks

• Practice taking white binder out of backpack

• Practice saying their teachers name

• Practice tying shoes

• Practice writing first and last name

• Practice reading and writing letters

• Practice letter sounds

• Practice reading and writing sight words

• Practice counting 1-20

• Read with your child and ask them to retell the story

Oct. 27th-BMX bike show-assembly-all students will attend

Oct. 31st-Character Parade at Beck 8 a.m.-More, information to come- Each student will come to school in their costume and parade around the outside of the school around 8 a.m. All parents are welcome to come up to the school to watch. No scary costumes or weapons, please! Students change out of their costumes after the parade!
