What we are learning this week:

Kindergarten Course Syllabus Link 

Phonics: We will learn our classmate's names and learn to play with names/letters. 

Writing: We will practice handwriting and respond to a book that we have read. I will use color, drawing, and words to tell a story. 

Reading:We will learn about coloring with meaning. We will 

Science:We will learn about science tools. 

Math:We will begin Module 1 on sorting objects. 

• Practice zipping and unzipping backpacks

• Practice taking white binder out of backpack

• Practice saying their teachers name

• Practice tying shoes

• Practice writing first and last name

• Practice reading and writing letters

• Practice letter sounds

• Practice reading and writing sight words

• Practice counting 1-20

• Read with your child and ask them to retell the story

Sept. 1st: No School

Sept. 4th-Kinder Popsicle & Play on the Beck Playground
Join in from 3:15–3:45 pm for a fun after-school get-together! All students will go home first and then are welcome to come back with their families for the event. Since this is an after-school activity, parents must stay with their children as teachers will not be present. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families while the kids play and enjoy a sweet treat!

Sept. 5th: Grandparents Day-9:15-9:45 a.m. in your child's classroom. All grandparents are Welcome!

Sept. 9th: Curriculum Night 4:30-5:30pm (Beck University at Beck) There will be two sessions one at 4:30 and one at 5:30.

Sept. 12th-Bulldog Blitz Fundraiser Begins

Sept. 15th-Dot Day-Students will dress up in clothing with dots!

Sept. 19th-Bulldog Blitz Celebration Obstacle course-All students will participate during L.A.M.P. time at school!

Sept. 26th-Beck Color Bash at Beck 5:30-7:30 pm 

Oct. 1st-Byron Nelson Homecoming Parade thru Trophy Club-Community Event-6:15pm-All welcome to attend/view! Beck does have a float. Our 5th grade Student/House Council rides on the float! 

Oct. 6th-10th Parent Conference Week-All Parents can Sign Up to Conference with thier child if they want to, a sign up will be sent out by your teacher soon.

Oct. 7th: Fall Picture Day (Yearbook picture- shoulders up) 

Oct. 10th-Early Release 11:45 a.m., Last day of the 1st 9 weeks! House Rally Day! Wear House colors! 

Oct. 13th-No School!

Oct. 16th-1st 9 weeks Report Cards will be sent home digitally(emailed).
