What we are learning this week:

 Kindergarten Course Syllabus Link

Reading: We will begin our traditions and celebrations unit. We will make connections to another fiction text about family traditions.

Phonics: We will focus on the letter "r." We will learn the sight word "from." 

Writing: We will practice handwriting and respond to a book that we have read. We will start our unit called All About. Students will write on topics they know a lot about. 

Math: We will continue Module 6 on comparing weights.

Science: We will explore objects in the sky. 

• Practice zipping and unzipping backpacks

• Practice taking white binder out of backpack

• Practice saying their teachers name

• Practice tying shoes

• Practice writing first and last name

• Practice reading and writing letters

• Practice letter sounds

• Practice reading and writing sight words

• Practice counting 1-20

• Read with your child and ask them to retell the story
