Research Sites Initiative
The Research Sites Initiative (RSI) is a local scheme which provides sites with funding to establish and maintain their infrastructure to enable them to deliver NIHR portfolio research.
Practices are able to apply for three different levels of funding:
Level 1 - £1,500
Level 2 - £4,000
Sessional - £15,000
The 23/24 Performance Criteria Matrix below outlines the activity required for each level of funding.
Applications are made on a yearly basis and the scheme runs from April - March. We would welcome new sites to join. If you would like to discuss participating, please contact the primary care team - studysupport5.crnwessex@nihr.ac.uk.
In addition to the RSI scheme funding, each study should reimburse for the activity being carried out. These costs will either come from the CRN team, from the study grant or commercial company. All NIHR portfolio studies are costed in line with the AcoRD guidelines.
Once practices are registered with us we will send relevant information regarding studies and events we are running.
