Commercial Research
Getting involved in commercial research
There are two ways that practices can get involved in commercial research: being a recruiting site or a Participant Identification Centre (PIC).
Our team help to deliver the Site Identification Service which helps the sponsor to identify potential sites. This provides practices with a brief overview of commercial studies with the opportunity to express an interest.
A participant identification centre or PIC is where an organisation identifies participants, largely (but not exclusively) through patient records, for possible participation in studies.
For more information about these services contact the CRN Wessex industry team at industry.crnwessex@nihr.ac.uk.
