GP Locality Leads

Our locality leads all work in research active practices and have experience of set up and delivery on a variety of study types. They also provide the CRN team with clinical expertise for feasibility and other study support services. The leads can be approached for support and discussions about what it is like to run research and are happy to meet with teams. The leads also have responsibility for various primary care research related workstreams and attend the national specialty group meetings.

CRN Wessex Primary Care Team

Research Nurses

Our nurses support the delivery of studies across the region. We will make sites aware of their involvement when we send out a new study for expression of interest. 

The nurses can also provide support to help train new members of the team and run an annual nurse forum to bring together primary care nurses and AHPs to share best practice.

Industry team

Our industry team supports local Primary Care researchers with the following:

• Business Development: new studies expressions of interest and engagement with industry

• Commercial studies set up and governance guidance (contracts and cost)

• Performance monitoring: reports and data queries

• Training
