Prof. Sanjay Shrivastava, Director NIF T Patna while addressing the gathering said “In 2012, I had board meeting at HO where I was fighting for staring Textile Design at NIFT Patna, and today I stand tall, proud and emotional. It comes to me naturally. Textile Design batch has made me proud because of the work. The work they displayed not only for the campus but for the state. The kind of response that this Textile batch received from the industry is phenomenal. The Textile Design department has done a marvellous job with the scarce available resources. I have a small but a fabulous team. And each of students today is an extended team. I am very thankful to each parent for having faith. I am very proud of the student’s achievements. It is nothing less than a picture perfect for me. Wish you all the best. Enjoy life. Leave your footprints- design prints and weave the magic of what you are supposed to do. ”
Sh. Saket Kumar IAS, while addressing at the august occasion said “today when I leave this event, I leave being a little more educated. The story behind each of the collection is very impressive. Congratulations! to each student for your splendid performance and congratulations to team NIFT Patna for putting up very good work.” Addressing to students he said “Till now you had a protected sort of an atmosphere in which you were. So you could make a design and if that design is nice design, better than others, your faculty will access you for that. Life many times is not this fair when you go out of the campus. Life many a times is not so welcoming. It can get raw. So what do you do then? Follow your dreams, everybody tells you. But is it that simple? Many a times you would see, this organisation, want a certain kind of a design. My designs are like wonderful, amazing, these guys don’t understand. So what do you do? Fight for it or cut yourself into another brick of the same size, another brick in the wall. All of us are like a bottle of medicine which comes with an expiry date. Be it our workplace be it anywhere else be it our lives. No matter how safely you lead your lives, it ultimately is the journey to the grave. So I encourage you to take decisions where you are able to make a difference.
Be scared but be scared a little less. It is the fear which helps us survive. But do follow your heart. Be courageous to take tough decisions. Live life to the fullest, value friendship, value relationship, value your faculties and leave your imprints. You all have done a wonderful work. Let this work show in everything you do.”
On this occasion Mr. N.S. Bora, Joint Director, NIFT Patna congratulated all the graduating students of Textile Design.
