NIFT Patna
Mr. Jayant Kumar, graduated in Fashion and Information Technology [2002-2006], from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai and Bachelor of Computer Application from IGNOU. He has been working in the industry since July'2006 under various capacities, majorly serving Fashion, Graphics & Communication Design. He was associated with fashion institutes of Mumbai as a Visiting Faculty for ‘Fashion CAD’. As an industry expert he contributed in revising the curriculum for Diploma courses under Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. He is working as an Assistant Professor with NIFT Patna Campus since May' 2013.
As the founding Campus Coordinator for the Department of Textile Design at NIFT Patna Campus he contributed in setting up of the department. He has held additional portfolios like Campus Coordinator for Foundation Programme and Resource Centre InCharge in the past. He has designed the exterior of ‘Road Ambulance’ for Road Construction Department, Government of Bihar. He has designed the publication 'The Godmakers', documentation on survey and study of stone craft at Gaya for the Office of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. His forte is Fashion and Graphic Design and he teaches design related subjects. So far, he has taught subjects like Fashion Orientation; Digital Design; Understanding of Body and Pattern shapes through draping; History of Design and Fashion; Prototype Development; Photography; Digital Presentation Techniques; Graphic Design for Fashion; Grading Manual and CAD; Digital Imaging and Editing Techniques, CAD Print, CAD Dobby & Carpet, Graphic Design and Craft Design Project. Being a contributing factor in a student’s success is what motivates him.
NIFT Patna
Mr. Kunal Singha, PhD (pursuing, VGSOM, IIT Kharagpur), M.Tech (Department of Textile Technology, IIT Delhi), B.Tech (Textile Engineering. WBUT), had previous four years of experience as Assistant Professor at Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology under Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, before joining NIFT Patna as Assistant Professor in September, 2016. His primary research interests are Service Supply Chain, Marketing, Manufacturing and Service, Material Science, Textile Polymer Chemistry & Properties. He has published more than three dozens of papers over different reputed national and international journals with one book chapter with national and international conferences. He is a lifetime member of Textile Association of India (TAI) and regular reviewer of Journal of Metallurgical Engineering (ME), American V-King Scientific Publishing, New York, USA & more. He bagged National seminar workshop on ‘Automation in Textile Industry’ held at GCETTS, Kolkata on 30 January, 2008 and won the silver medal for the second position. Under his guidance students had won fourth prize at Pearl Academy of Fashion, New Delhi, India on 5th April, 2013.He takes keen interest in playing outdoor games and singing.
NIFT Patna
Mr. Lokesh Kumar is currently working with NIFT Patna Campus as an Assistant Professor in Department of Textile Design. An alumnus of NIFT Gandhi Nagar, he holds a bachelor degree in Fashion Design, batch 2006- 2010. While graduating, he was awarded the Best Design Collection in category of “Best use of traditional skill in contemporary fashion and styling”. He has worked as an Assistant Designer for men and women clothing with label CellDSGN Pvt. Ltd. He has designed collections for national and inter-national fashion weeks. He has also worked at Norwest Industry and ZOVI.com as a Design Head. He has been actively involved in the project “Positioning of Bihar Khadi”. His area of interest lies in Surface Ornamentations, Silhouettes, Drapes and Traditional Crafts. He teaches subjects like Pattern making, Cutting and Sewing Techniques, Geometry, Element of Design, Appreciation of World Textiles. He believes- If you want to create something, create interest first.
NIFT Kangra
Mr. Pavittar Punit Singh Madān was associated as Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Patna Campus during July 2014 - March 2018. He was holding additional position of Course Coordinator (Foundation Program) and Resource Centre Incharge. He is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kangra Campus.
He is an alumnus of National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar having done his post graduation in Textile Engineering and Management and has worked with reputed organizations like Winsome Textile Industries and Mahavir Spinning Mills (A Vardhman Group Company) for over 2 years. He has teaching experience of over 6 years before joining NIFT and has been teaching core textile subjects in his parent department as well as in other departments. He has also contributed in projects notably Fashion Shows in Sonepur Mela and Rajgir Mela, Study of Stone Craft in Gaya which culminated with the publication of the report titled “The Godmakers”.

Mr. Pintu Pandit is currently working in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Patna Campus, India as an Assistant Professor.

Ms. Rajni Srivastava is currently working in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Patna Campus, India as an Assistant Professor. An alumni of the prestigious National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad, she has more than 12 years of experience in designing, teaching and training of artisans. She has worked with Fabindia, in design and marketing of hand loom and handicrafts. Has been a Design Consultant at Aga Khan Development Network (a NGO that works for the livelihood and promotion of income generation avenues for communities living in the Nizamuddin Basti, at the Humayun’s Tomb, New Delhi). Has designed the first hand embroidered interactive “Unity Quilt” for the Eternal Gandhi Multimedia Museum Exhibition at the Birla House, Tees January Marg, New Delhi. This project got a special mention in the Domus Design Magazine. Her area of specialisation includes Fundamentals of Design (Elements and Principles of Design and Design Process), Craft Research and Documentation, and Textile Design Development. She has successfully penned her research paper for the International Shibori Symposium 2016.
